Coronavirus | Covid-19: update for audiences and visitors

In the light of the pandemic and advice from the UK and Scottish Government, the Usher Hall and our partner venues, the Assembly Rooms, Church Hill Theatre and Ross Bandstand are now closed to the public until 27 May. We will re-evaluate the situation nearer that time. 

The health and safety of our artists, audiences, visitors and staff remains our priority. This means all concerts and events during this time frame will not take place.  They will either be rescheduled or cancelled. With many events to work on, we hope you will understand this will take some time and we appreciate your patience and understanding as the venue and our promoters navigate this challenging time.

Attached is a list of forthcoming events covering the current closure period with advice on whether these are being rescheduled or cancelled. Where an event status is listed as “In talks with promoter”, we are still awaiting confirmation on whether a rescheduled date is possible. In addition, we have included events outside the current closure period, where the promoter has taken the decision to postpone/reschedule/cancel the event.

If you are attending an event which is not listed on the Forthcoming Events document:
This means there is currently no change to the status of your event. Please do not contact the Box Office as we are emailing all customers when we receive any updates. We recommend logging in to your Usher Hall account to ensure that the email address you have provided is up to date. We will be monitoring the situation during the period of closure and when we have more details we will share alerts and updates here and on our social channels.

Due to the high volume of work, there is no need to need to contact the Box Office with a refund request and in the meantime, please see below for more detailed guidance:

If your event has been cancelled:
We will be refunding the full cost of the ticket and the per ticket booking fee.

For online or telephone bookings the refund will be returned to the original purchaser’s credit card.

If you booked by chip&pin, cash or cheque, a member of the team will be in touch regarding your booking as soon as staff are allowed to return to their workplaces.  Unfortunately, this is not a task that can be carried out by the team working from home. We understand this may be frustrating, but we hope you appreciate this is beyond our control at this time.

If your event has been rescheduled:
Please check the website page for the event for full details of the new date.  Tickets are valid, and the new date will be honoured.
