About Us

The Usher Hall is one of the most outstanding concert halls in the world. A landmark in the heart of Scotland's capital, it stands for the highest level of musical and civic participation, and for the best part of a century it has hosted some of the greatest concerts and events in the city.

We are proud to have staged concerts with some of the biggest names in 20th Century music, from Ella Fitzgerald to Oscar Peterson, Gustav Holst to Kiri te Kanawa, The Rolling Stones to Beck.

The Usher Hall is the key venue for visiting national and international orchestras and has been the main venue for the Edinburgh International Festival since 1949.

Today the Hall is a vibrant, exciting centre of excellence embracing the widest range of music and events, including rock, pop, jazz, world, blues, comedy, talks, school concerts, conferences, sponsorship events, ceremonies, lectures and recording sessions.

We are committed to providing the best service for everyone who comes to the Hall including promoters, event organisers and those simply out to enjoy a night of great music.

As part of our Service Standards we regularly publish our business targets and achievements.
