5:00pm, Saturday 03 November 2018 Assembly Rooms
After the success of last year’s inaugural Alternative Peers Ball, the indoor multi arts festival will return to the Assembly Rooms on Saturday 3rd November with a stellar line-up of contemporary Scottish talent, being headlined by Kilmarnock formed Fatherson, celebrating the release of their 3rd album ‘Sum Of All Your Parts’ on September 14th who will be fresh from selling out Glasgow’s seminal Barrowlands the night before.
The Alternative Peers Ball, which was inspired by the prestigious Peers Ball presented by Sir Walter Scott at Assembly Rooms in 1822, hopes to attract music fans from around the country with an 8-hour line up presented by Vic Galloway.
The evening will also feature performances by The Xcerts, who scored their first top 40 album earlier this year with the band’s 4th album ‘Hold on to Your Heart’ returning to Edinburgh for the first time since January 2016, Scottish Album of the Year nominees Babe, Best Girl Athlete, Kobi Onyame, The Spook School and Martha Ffion, Glasgow’s Bossy Love, fresh from closing out the night at Light on the Shore’s Since Yesterday show at Leith Theatre’s Edinburgh Festival show and Zoe Graham, a recent addition to Spotify’s prestigious New Music Friday playlist. The evening will be rounded off by a DJ set from EH-FM, Edinburgh’s independent community radio station and once again, the whole event will be complimented by Ursula Cheng and Projector Club’s amazing visuals and artwork whilst Too Much Fun Club will be creating a live mural throughout the evening.
With some of Scotland’s top artistic talents involved, guests can expect part-music festival, part art-installation and one of the year’s best parties.
