How to Relax, Eat, Move and Sleep your Way to a Longer, Healthier Life
3:15pm, Sunday 28 January 2018 Assembly Rooms
Star of BBC1's Doctor in the House, Dr Rangan Chatterjee believes that the way we practise medicine is wrong. After his baby son became ill from a preventable vitamin deficiency Rangan decided to take a stand. In his book The Four Pillar Plan he reveals the root causes of what makes us ill, and what keeps us well. “Doctors are trained to deal with acute or emergency care, not the epidemic of chronic lifestyle-related conditions that flood our surgeries – headaches, joint pain, gut problems, depression, weight gain, stress, diabetes and skin problems.” Based on scientific research and his own experiences as a doctor Rangan explains the four pillars of health - relaxation, food, sleep and movement - and how with small changes in our lifestyle we can take control of our health and live better lives.
Rangan will be signing copies of his book The Four Pillar Plan, published by Penguin Life, in the marketplace immediately after this event.
