The Transformative Power of Music and Sound

In partnership with EDINBURGH MUSIC LOVERS

In a time when loneliness has been declared a national epidemic, music has the power bring us together.  Whether it is the feeling of euphoria in a club, or a cry to a heartbreaking ballad, music unites us in a way that nothing else can. In this unique event we bring together music producer Felix Buxton (Basement Jaxx) and Scotland's Got Soul Choir to explore the transformative power of music.  The choir will perform a piece written by Felix based on the 'Love Frequency', said to promote feelings of calm, healing and love.

The Got Soul Choir was set up to bring people together and out of isolation.  They have performed with many leading names in music including Take That, Gareth Malone and Mica Paris among others.  Felix Buxton is a producer and one half of electronic music duo Basement Jaxx.   Edinburgh Music Lovers believe that music can play a powerful role in our wellbeing and mental health.
