NEU! REEKIE! PRESENTS
Stanley Odd (Full Band)
Kevin Williamson with Kixx Collective & Craig Lithgow
Michael Pedersen, Davie Miller (FiniFlex/Tribe) & Carla J Easton collide
Stanley Odd are an alternative hip-hop group based in Scotland, who over the last eight years have been breaking new ground, taking Scottish hip hop to audiences around the UK and beyond. Champions of oddness and outsiderdom, their explosive live shows have earned them a loyal and ever-expanding fanbase.
Award-winning poet, Michael Pedersen joins forces with cult electronic dance and acid house pioneer Davie Miller. Together they deliver an evolved and reimagined version of their Festival No.6 commissioned mini set, that was part of Andrew Weatherall’s Psychedelic Faber Social stage. And for the first time ever, they are joined by 2019 SAY Award shortlisted musical firecracker Carla J. Easton – known for her dreamy, addictive pop and vivacious song-writing with TeenCanteen and live performances with The Vaselines.
One of the centrepieces of Burns&Beyond will be an explosive performance of Tam o’ Shanter performed from memory, and with menace, by poet Kevin Williamson, with music by Craig Lithgow, plus the dancers & performers of the Kixx Collective.
