RSNO Oundjian Conducts Brahms' Requiem

7:30pm, Friday 01 December 2017

‘Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.’ Johannes Brahms wasn’t the religious type, but when his mother died he turned to the words of Martin Luther to create a requiem intended to console the living. Strong, sincere, and profoundly moving, it’ll make a magnificent showcase for our RSNO Chorus and two world-class soloists. First, though, Peter Oundjian joins forces with the brilliant Augustin Hadelich in the all-singing, all-dancing violin concerto by Brahms’ great friend Dvořák.
