Brahms: Piano concerto no. 2 in B flat major (Saša Gerželj-Donaldson,piano)
Nielsen: Symphony no. 4, 'The inextinguishable'

Grieg: Peer Gynt suite

Slovenian pianist Saša Gerželj-Donaldson makes her first appearance with Sinfonia, YOUR own Edinburgh-based orchestra in the most titanic of all piano concertos and one of Brahms’ most mature and satisfying concertos. Less well-known perhaps is Danish composer Nielsen’s magnificent Symphony no. 4, subtitled ‘The inextinguishable’. It is a dramatic and exciting work – easily accessible at a first hearing! In addition to the first two pieces Scottish Sinfonia will also be performing Grieg's Peer Gynt Suite.
