Africa in the Lounge
Africa in the Lounge live streamed concerts return with artists from Morocco, Ghana and Senegal Africa in the Lounge is back for a new series of free live streamed concerts drawing on musical traditions from across Africa and the diaspora.
Series five features Electric Jalaba who fuse traditional North African gnawa with contemporary electronica; creative force of nature K.O.G. known for his euphoric afro-fusion sound; and virtuosic Senegalese singer, songwriter and kora player Diabel Cissokho with his band.
The concerts are presented by African Night Fever and Yaram Arts in partnership with B:Music; Brewery Arts, Kendal; Brighton Dome; Bristol Beacon; and Usher Hall, Edinburgh, and supported by Arts Council England. African Night Fever has been bringing the best musicians from Africa and the African diaspora to audiences in Brighton and beyond for over 15 years.
Yaram Arts is the UK’s leading music development agency specialising in African artists. Now with 20 concerts in the series, Africa in the Lounge has attracted thousands of viewers from the UK and around the world.
