Riddles have fascinated humankind for centuries – and none more enduring than Edward Elgar’s Enigma Variations. “The Enigma I will not explain,” he once wrote. Ever since, the world has been left guessing.

A piece portraying friendship, love, and deep personal reflection – from thunderous brass to intimate string textures, crowned by the majestic voice of the organ.

The programme also includes Arthur Bliss’s playful work A Knot of Riddles, performed by Scottish baritone Arthur Bruce, and Alexandre Desplat’s evocative Suite from The Imitation Game, a haunting musical tribute to the genius of Alan Turing.

Join us for an unforgettable afternoon of intrigue, emotion, and revelation.

The enigma awaits. Will you dare to solve it?
