Lang Lang, one of the world’s leading figures in modern classical music, and star of Channel 4s ‘The Piano’, will take to the stage for two exceptional performances next autumn, as he masterfully brings to life the finest works of Schubert, Schumann and Chopin, in one thrilling show of epic pianist proportions.  These highly anticipated shows can be experienced on Friday 3 October 2025 at Liverpool Philharmonic and Friday 10 October 2025 at Edinburgh Usher Hall.

Performing a triple musical masterpiece, Lang Lang descends upon Liverpool and Edinburgh to recreate the wonderful classics from the world’s most prolific and acclaimed composers: Schumann, Schubert and Chopin.  Viewed by some critics as one of Schumann’s finest pieces of work, Kreisleriana is a wildly dramatic composition in eight movements for solo piano, which Lang Lang will ignite on stage through his spectacular musical genius.  Taken from Franz Schubert’s 8-piece series of Impromtus, Lang Lang will perform the first two of the first set, which were published during the composer’s lifetime - Schubert Impromptu in G flat Major, Op. 90.  In addition, Lang Lang catapults Chopin Mazurkas into full musical colour including Op. 7 Nr. 3, Op. 17 Nr. 1, 2, 4, Op. 24 Nr. 2, 4, Op. 30 Nr. 3, 4, Op. 33 Nr. 3, 4, 2, Op. 59 Nr. 3 and Chopin Polonaise in F# minor, Op. 44.

For two magnificent nights only, Lang Lang delivers a breath-taking piano odyssey of epic musical magnitude.  An experience not to be missed.
