German Romantic organ music — and a chance to try the organ!

This programme of colourful German Romantic music, which sounds particularly well on the Usher Hall organ, will include Mendelssohn’s Prelude and Fugue in D minor;  tuneful variations by the largely-forgotten Adolf Hesse; music by Liszt and the Toccata and Fugue in D minor/major by Max Reger.

After this recital there will be an opportunity to come up to the organ console and even to try the organ!  Bring some music.  This is part of Play the Organ Year 2025 being masterminded by the Royal College of Organists; John is the Scottish Ambassador.
