Christmas at the Usher Hall

Snow falling outside the Usher Hall

It's time to get in the festive spirit at the Usher Hall with our fabulous Christmas shows.

This winter season, we have a wide range of performances where families can experience the magic of Christmas and create lasting memories. From dance extravaganzas to enchanting choirs, there is something for everyone.

Kicking off the season, we have two film screenings with live orchestras - Disney’s much loved 1992 musical comedy, The Muppet Christmas Caroland Universal Pictures' The Holiday, starring Cameron Diaz and Kate Winslet.

We then see a return from Children's Classic Concerts for their hugely popular Christmas show 'The Elf Games', featuring the RSNO. They are followed by the wonderful Get Organised Organ and Choir Christmas Special with city organist John Kitchen and Edinburgh University Singers choir.

On Friday 8 December we are joined by the exceptional RSNO for a performance of Tchaikovsky's much-loved The Nutcracker. Then direct from the West End, the ultimate feel good Irish-inspired Christmas show, Fairytale of New York, is back with an even bigger production for 2023.

Other festive highlights include dream-like folk duo The Unthanks, Strictly legends Janette Manrara & Aljaž Škorjanec's Dancing in a Winter Wonderland, BBC SSO's Christmas at the Movies, RSNO's The Snowman and vocal quartet G4 Christmas.
